The Butt family had noticed that their farmhouse-style home was cold and did not have any hot water. When we arrived at their home in Flemington, NJ, our technicians confirmed that their heater and water heater was no longer working.

They had an extremely old Burnham Jubilee that did a great job in its day however it finally reach the end of its life expectancy. It completely malfunctioned leaving the Butts with inconsistent hot water and a cold home. Additionally, their energy bills have been consistently increasing over the past few years.

When we inspected their old system, George, our expert technician, discovered that their boiler had a leak. Based on the nature of the leak, this made their boiler irreparable leading to the need for a new boiler installation in Flemington NJ.

Problem: While conducting a service call due to no heat and no hot water, our service technicians noticed that the Butt’s old Burnham Jubilee boiler was leaking. Also, the system was old and did not provide adequate heat or hot water.

Problems With A Leaking Boiler

A leaking boiler is quite a serious problem. It means that an internal component has broken. This could be a valve or a seal. Valves and seals are repairable. A more serious situation is when a boiler leaks due to rust or corrosion.

Regardless of why the leak is occurring, a leaking boiler can cause the electrical components within your system to short circuit. When I opened the garage door this morning, I was shocked by an oil leak on the basement floor. Called for service and a technician was here in less than 30 minutes. Diagnosed the problem instantly when he saw the furnace. Issue was fixed quickly and the tech and his assistant went above and beyond to clean up the spill. Very professional.
